跨文化语用失误及其对英语教学启迪

随着社会的进步与发展，世界各国、各民族之间的交流合作日益增强。外语作为交际工具，在现代社会生活中发挥着重要作用。长期以来，传统的语言学研究着重语言本身，而忽略了语言和人类社会环境及人类文化的密切联系。随着跨文化交际的日趋频繁和跨文化交际中交际失败的不断出现，作为语用学及其分支学科—语际语语用学的热门话题之一，语用失误引起了国内外语言学家及语言教师的重视。跨文化交际语用失误已成为语用学和应用语言学研究的一个重要领域。语用失误一词源于J.Thomas(1983)的文章Cross-culturalPragmaticFailure。她以为|教育论文网|语用失误是由于没能理解说话人的意图而引起的。本文从语用学角度出发，从词汇、语篇、言语行为及文化差异等各方面来描写和解释语用失误。分析语用失误的原因，并提出提高学生语用能力的一些途径，目的是克服语用失误，进行成功交流，从而达到英语教学的目的。论文首先回顾了语用失误的定义并对其研究对象进行界定，将所收集的现实生活中出现的语用失误进行分类，从社会、文化及认知角度分析出其产生的原由于不恰当的语言输入以及文化、思维方式、语用原则的差异。作者以为|教育论文网|语用失误的研究不仅包括言语交际也包括非言语交际，通过对各层次语用失误研究及分析其产生根源，本文作者对英语教学提出一些建议：大学英语课堂教学中应该通过语境、语用、文化意识的培养，“语用行为”和文化的教学提高学习者的跨文化交际能力，同时，教师在教学过程中，应该提高和改进教学材料，充分利用课堂时间，帮助学生提高跨文化交际能力，最大限度的减少甚至避免语用失误。【关键词】：跨文化交际语用失误交际能力英语教学
