一项关于英语教师语法教学认知调查
语法教学一直以来都是一个备受争议的话题,也是一个非常热门的研究领域。在这样的环境下,本文旨在调查非英语专业大学英语教师对语法教学的态度及观点,揭示他们对语法教学的认知。本文以前人的研究作为基础,聚焦以下三个方面研究:大学非英语专业英语教师对语法及语法教学在语言学习中的地位、语法教学理论与方法、以及对于这些理论与方法在实际课堂应用情况的熟悉及观点的调查。为了研究以上三个方面的情况,笔者调查了武汉市本科院校的五十六名大学非英语专业的英语教师。本研究采用的收集数据的工具是Burgess和Etherington设计的问卷,数据大部分是定量的。通过对收集到的数据的分析,主要得出了以下的结论:首先,大多数的教师认同语法及语法教学在语言和语言教学中的重要地位,他们以为|教育论文网|语法是构建语言的基本框架和基本体系,而并不是一个可有可无的部分或说是语言知识中锦上添花的部分。正是由于语法在语言中的基础地位,语言教学的重要性也得到了大家的认同。其次,大部分教师根据自己的实际教学经历,以为|教育论文网|显性语法教学辅佐以隐形语法教学是最好的语法教学方法。不可否认,语言教学的目的是交际,因此语法教学的终极目标也是交际,而语法知识实际上也是交际知识一部分,因此了解教师对语法教学方法的态度及观点是有益处的。再次,教师对实际课堂中语法教学理论和方法的应用的态度及观点容受到学生性格和需求的影响。本调查对外语语法教学和研究均有一定的启示。本研究结果肯定了语法及语法教学的重要性,以及以显性语法教学为主,隐形语法教学为辅的语法教学方法;在实际课堂教学中,教师倾向于使用基于意义以及任务型语法教学方法。本研究也存在一定的局限性,定量的研究方法,调查问卷设计的问题以及本研究没有涉及到教师对于语法教学的态度及观点的变化问题都使本研究有待进一步的完善。【关键词】:语法语法教学教师认知
