英汉语空间隐喻认知比较探讨

认知指通过心理活动获取知识。是指人们获得知识或应用知识的过程,或信息加工的过程。这是人最基本的心理过程。隐喻是用一种事物去理解和体验另一种事物。因此,从语言的角度讲,隐喻是一种修辞方式;从认知的角度讲,它又是一种思维方式;它既是人类认知世界的重要手段,也是人类认知世界的结果。当我们把一些空间关系投射到非空间概念时,就形成了空间隐喻。一直以来,认知与隐喻都有着十分密切的关系。近年来,隐喻方面的研究逐渐受到学术界的关注。隐喻的认知功能在很多学科中起到的作用已得到普遍认可。而中英隐喻认知方面的差异也随之日渐明显。本文对隐喻进行细致的分析,并从认知的角度对空间隐喻进行了对比分析,分别指出在中英两种语言文化中空间隐喻在数量、状态、社会关系、时间和范围等方面的相似与差异。并指出空间隐喻认知方面的对比分析对英语教学、英汉互译、跨文化交际等方面的意义及建议。【关键词】：认知对比研究空间隐喻数量状态社会关系时间范围
